Gridin’s Group’s Input into the Construction of the “Icon of the Seas”

Since October 2021, Gridins’ Group team has been involved in the block fabrication and hull assembly of the cruise ship Icons of the Seas by Royal Caribbean International. The first class luxury liner is being constructed in Finland, at the Meyer Turku Shipyard.

This new series of ships will comprise three luxury liners with a tonnage of about 200,000 GT and enough room for around 5,000 passengers. The second cruise ship in this class will be delivered in 2025, and the third will follow in 2026.

All three luxury liners will feature completely new propulsion technology – their eco-friendly LNG drive system will ensure a significant reduction in emissions.
