MEYER WERFT PAPENBURG | Construction of converter platforms

Gridin’s Group is expanding its operations in the offshore structures sector and deepening its expertise in the green energy industry by joining the Meyer Werft shipyard project in Germany.

As a subcontractor for Dragados Offshore, the Meyer Werft Papenburg shipyard is engaged in the production of converter platforms destined for the DolWin4 and BorWin4 offshore connections as well as BalWin1 and BalWin2. All connections and platforms for green electricity are located in the North Sea. The team of Gridin’s Group specialists is responsible for the assembly of the substation blocks, with the amount of steel used in these projects comparable to that of a large cruise ship structure.
The converter platforms will be manufactured at the Spanish yard Dragados Offshore, which in consortium with Siemens Energy, was awarded the overall EPCI project execution on behalf of the German company Amperion.

With each project, we move forward and gain valuable experience in both offshore wind energy and metal structure manufacturing. If you want to contribute to the growth of green energy, join the Gridin’s Group team of professionals today!
